516 Northampton Street: The VFW Building

Koehler Kheel Realty has managed the renovations to this spectacular, 35,000 square foot commercial facility.  The former VFW building, built in 1914 as The Strand Theatre, was Easton's first "talkie" movie theatre.  It was later occupied by various service organizations, including the International Order of the Odd Fellows and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1290.

Nurture Nature Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Koehler Kheel Realty partner Theodore W. Kheel, purchased the building in December 2004.  Koehler Kheel Realty managed renovations to the building, including all new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and interior and exterior finishes and restoration.

Nurture Nature is currently studying developing the building as a Flood Museum and Resource Center.
